On April 4th, Felix Dapare Dakora, director of the African Academy of Sciences, visited the Institute of Vegetable and Flower (IVF) of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences（CAAS）. Qian Yu, deputy director of the International Cooperation Bureau of CAAS, Zhang Shuai, deputy director of the National Department, Zhai Yanning, deputy director of the Institute of Vegetable and Flower, Li Lei, director of the scientific research department attended the event.

Director Dakora had a detailed understanding of the research progress and technological achievements of the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, as well as the main achievements of international cooperation in recent years.

After an in-depth communication with team experts in the fields of biotechnology and genomics, director Dakora fully affirmed the scientific research strength of the institute, expressed his willingness to actively promote the cooperation in agricultural science and technology between the two sides, and hoped to establish a cooperative relationship in the field of vegetables and flowers.

Accompanied by Deputy Director Zhai Yanning, Director Dakora also visited the biotechnology laboratory and flower peony exhibition garden. He showed a great interest in various peony products.
